l work at a gm dealer and a 2003 745 Li was traded in, and its has 76000 miles on it, and l asked the mechanc who does over 100 point inspections on it and he said there was nothing wrong, l got to detail it and it was very very nice, a footrest in a car, wow,and there selling it for 24,000

ppl say they can be expensive for like a oil change, is that true, l know parts will be, but can u compare the price to american parts, just to see the difference like a chevy brake pad and bmw brake pad and will l need alot of maintanenc for this car,l know l seen alot of older bmw on the street so im guessing they have longevity, and would u say thier better in quality that lexus?

i live in salt lake city, YES 'THE'' salt lake city, and we have snow, but this car came with alike ''winter'' package with a specialized bag for skis that came with it, so with clear roads in winter will l still be good

BMWs take ALOT of oil, which is why they're expensive to change. 7 series are known for electrical problems. My 3 series takes 8 quarts of oil (6 cylinder engine).

100point inspections mean absolutely nothing, they're just marketing gimmics. Sure they serve a purpose, but in the end, they mean nothing.

Check the blue book (trade-in value), and make them give you a better deal, 24k sounds high.

l would say that BMW makes a superior car to a Lexus and l have both. The BMW is more costly maintenance but l go every 50,000 miles before an oil change. l know sounds crazy but my Z4 as almost 200,000 miles on it and 4 oil changes in it life. l drive a lot cross country. Oil changes usually run about 100 bucks at the BMW dealership

Used BMW is r fine, as long as they have been maintained. However the biggest drawback of a used bmw is the maintenance.

depending on where u go, an oil change can be pretty high. You're looking at over 100 bucks easy(Although it take 5w 30 fully synthetic). Brakes can set u back 500-800 bucks.

One thing l will say though. BMW was made for the road. It handles so well & can take turns smooth. Just keep in mind.they were not meant to be driven in the snow.

Lexus is a great car too. Not as great on the turns but it cost less to maintain, so that may be a plus.

l have to say l love my bmw l have a 323i and l bought it used and love it. Yes the oil changes are a little more expensive but you can go longer with it. l have had to replace a few things lucky for me my husband works on it and the cost has not been bad. So to answer your question in my opinion, you cant go wrong with the beamer.

yes they r realiable, but need costly maintenance (brake pads just for the front cost me $700 on my BMW 325i)(oil changes r around $100, but keep in mind they r only needed every 15k miles)

You can get a good 300k miles out of a BMW, but will cost u a lot to maintain during that time. l would reccomend the vehicle ONLY if u r prepared to, & can afford the maintenance. Otherwise it will be a money pit. And if u can not afford to keep on the maintenance u will just end up shortening the car is life.

btw, its called a Cold Weather Package, not a Winter package. =)

Yes & No .. if u treat ur BMW well, it will treat u kind back.

It is worth fixing little problems, so they do not create themselves into 1,000 problems.

My family has owned BMW is for years . Maintenance is expensive. It is usually hundreds more than normal cars. My dad always changes my 5 series oil & we use Mobil 1 . it is a 1989 535i M30 engine & runs like NEW. So, l do not know about oil changing prices.

Once u drive a BMW . every car you've ever driven will now be a disappointment, as far as driving pleasure. BMW is r very refined, quick, fun & addictive.

l will never own any other car than a BMW - they're amazing, & if u can afford the upkeep - buy it!

My BMW costs about 1,000 worth of maintenance a year.
