I am thinking of buying a car and l do not know which to choose...
They both have almost identical hp/ps, they both look great, and they're both expensive = )

Anyway, l wanted opinions for people who've driven the 2007 or 2008 models.

fuel consumption, selling the car in the future, spare parts, etc...

btw, u know they have the same engine too right?

as u know, they r both awesome cars. l do not see a huge difference in gas or re-sell on either. if l had to choose l would go with the 530i for one reason. the backseat has more room. l have kids so that would be the deciding factor. if l did not have to think about passengers l would probably still go with the 5 series but higher. the fact that u never have to worry about paying for parts makes that thought irrelevant. the warranty that comes with every certified bmw leaves u free to enjoy ur car with no worries.
