The window behind the driver is side is jammed.l turned off the engine so many times hoping it will come back up, but it hasn't.

The brushes are probably stuck inside the window motor. Here is a trick that works for me sometimes. While holding the window button in the up position, slam the door shut. Sometimes that will ''shock'' the motor into working for a brief time again.

This happened randomly with mine. it would roll down but only would roll back up once in a blue moon. Keep checking randomly and do not roll it down again until you can take it to the mechanic. They had to replace some electrical (motor-type?) thing in the window. it was not too expensive, but it was not pocket change, either.

The most likely reason for this is a faulty window motor/regulator. Some BMW have the motor and regulator inseparable, which means it will cost you a bit extra.
Best thing for you to do is to take it to a shop and get it done.

well if its power windows check the fuses then check the switch and then if its not any of those remove the door panel and check the moter and after that put the door panel back on but be fore you do that if the moter needs replaced replace it then put the door panel back on. its just plaictic clips pops off and pops on!
