if its in good condition

At that price, it must be in need of a huge amount of work. It is almost being given away.

As an indication, the suspension when/if it needs replacing will cost more than that!

Do not buy it unless it is in mint condition or you're prepared to spend over $5,000 on it in the first year (or you're prepared to dump it after a few months).

The Golden Rule for these cars is buy the most expensive u can afford or be prepared to spend more on maintenance & repairs.

In my book that is a realistic price. Thoes cars are 2nd on BMWs biggest mistakes list. HORRIBLE car. But you feel like a million bucks driving it. Beautiful machine. But its a pile of CRAP.. They all were..

Good price. It must have a bunch of problems. These cars are mechanic cars. You have to be mechanic (and do the maintance yourself) to afford these cars because they are not reliable and repairs are very expensive.
