l have test drive the car and runs good but then again im just a average guy can some bmw owner help me out make a decision here l hear alot bad things abt these cars but l really love it l dont mind having small problems but l dont want something that will break down on me in the middle of the road the carfax reports shows that the car is been regularly maintained so please help me out here

Do not do it. Had you read the cunsumer report; is one the worst car in term of reliabiy, plus BMW part are pricey to repair. You be better buy a used civic, because it will last probably 2 of that car.

Why would you buy a bmw with 150k miles on it? That is the dumbest idea I've ever heard.

do not buy unless the price is about $2,000. l own a repair shop l have 3 customers with 740il.
*** they are great cars but repairs will kill you. you may spend about $2k to $3k within 6 months
*** check it out if the car was taken care. check if it has check engine light.. if needs converters $2500
** take the car to a local repair shop and get checked up

Whoa. If you buy a Bimmer with 150K miles on it, l hope you have a few grand extra in your checking account because you will need it -- often. At that kind of mileage, expect LOTS of expensive repairs.

l also own a older bmw my 318i is great. but parts break u have to wait forever and pay big bucks my car has well over 220 k and runs great but the 740 is not so good with money the insurance and gas u would waste your money!

If you're looking for a good 740Li or i, try to get a 2001 model with reasonable mileage..it was the last year before the body change.

l will be hones with you, buy it but be aware that you will have to fix it. It does not matter BMW or ford, car was lease so you know that no one took care of it. Do not get me wrong, this cars are nice and confortable, l know it since l own 98 740Il with 134k. If you planing to fix it youself, it is not that bad, other wise it will only cost you $100 for oil change.
