Ok im in the market for a new car and ive looked at every car around l think and l keep coming back to the BMW 3 Series--328i..Also how is the 335i is it better??
l have no idea but l think ive fallen in love lol.

There great but expensive. Service is expensive as well as parts and insurance. Great cars, great ride

BMW has been on the top 10 best cars for 16 years

the only bad things are the rear leg room, the speakers arent the best, and the tires

They are great cars.The 3 series are great. You wo not have your sights at these if you ai not got moolah.Lots of them.Parts are bloody expensive as always with imports. Buckle up!!!!!!!

l Own a 330i and its served me so well! l have no complaints, and you can expect it to be a bit more expensive than your average car because its not your average car. Its the ''ultimate driving machine''.

just love them except that with petrol prices going through the roof,lol
bad points, they can be a bit twitchy especially in the wet, but then l enjoy a slide

l own a 1999 323 IS. l will drive it until it falls apart or until l have saved enough to buy my next ''3'' series car, whichever comes first. They're quality-built, and while more expensive than many other cars they reportedly last far longer in most cases and you get what you pay for. Would recommend it if it is in your price range.

l like BMW & have owned them. For kicks, go drive a Cadillac CTS. l am talking about the new 2008 body style. You will be amazed at how well it drives & it does not require the expensive premium fuel BMW has to have. l drove one & l was very impressed. l think the operating costs of the Cadillac will be less than the BMW. Also check out the new C class Mercedes. All of these cars r closely related in class & price. BMWs can be pricey when it comes to repairs though. They do drive nice though.

Dont do it unless you have lots of money to spend on maint. and repairs. l unfortunetly bought a 328i because l thought they were nice but all it does is cost me $. They also recommend premium gas only.

If l may suggest, there r two mags that cover these cars very well.Bimmer & Rondel.
The former has buying guilds for used models & tech question & answer sections.
The latter is part of the BMW car club of America. Not part of BMW NA. This also has a tech section.
These folks pull no punches when it comes to BMW cars.
These tech people (men) r tops in car problems/solutions.
After reading the stories of problems people have with these cars, u may not want a BMW. Yet this is a very small percentage of the cars owned, driven in this country.
Preventative maintenance is important to keep these cars running in first class condition. but really that is true of any other make. The purchase price is high, so it behooves one to take care of that investment.
l researched several other brands, & also looked into their club mags, & found similar types of problems that crop up with that make. Jags, have tranny faults, ect
As others have mentioned, the 3 Series car, has been chosen many, many times for ''top ten''. And this is even for models that have not had any major changes in their model year.
Without sounding snobbish, may l say, l own two of these cars. A '93 325is & a '03 330Ci (Both purchased used. They also come down in price like any other car). l really like the look of these cars, & the snob appeal. Just kidding.
The '03 had a AC leak.fixed under warranty . l compared this to a Mustang, similar parts / job. $32.00 US more not too bad.
The '93 got a pilot bearing, & clutch plates. wow, $400.00 US. But it was not a job l could do.
Batteries, can be had from Interstate for $69.00 US with the vent, compared to BMW at $165.00 US
Brake pads from Carquest , in the correct composition. Half price
Oil/air filters from Bavarian same as BMW. 1/3 less
Only the coolant needs to be from BMW.

Bimmer mag summed it up this way.. If u buy new, u can drive them for four years, & not spend a dime.
Buy CPO & also get maintenance free, then get rid of it . But many people start to like them, & want to keep the car. So do not go for the ''lifetime'' fluid story, if u plan to keep ur car. Change fluids as required.
