l always trying to avoid stopping in a hill while as my 316i 95 model, finding it very hard to speed up again, im talking about very slowly accelerating itself, it must be stuck in the 3rd gear or something and couldnt go back to 1st.

(Then when l finally recover from a hill part, my accelaration normally weakens down and less power is produce all the way to my destination).
Please anyone have any idea, please suggest, l love my car but l cant keep up with its performance and im so close to letting it go. :(
btw, it has been diagnostically tested and fixed pretty everything what the bmw specialist have seen in my car, mostly in the engine, it increase its performance a little from fixing the head gasket leaking, however its weakness hasnt been fixed 100%

You say it must be stuck in the 3rd gear or something and couldnt go back to 1st, so that would be a problem in the transmission… But if your BMW dealer says there is nothing more to fix… Try an other dealer or give up :(

l take it that this is an automatic.
When was the transmission last serviced?
Lock the transmission down into low if you have stopped and it will not down shift.
It may just be the steep hill. Accelerating up any thing over 9% can be very hard on the engine.
Kind of funny to me, that here is a car five years younger then mine and that cost maybe twice what l paid for my Mazda, that just can not cut the mustard any more.

put it in neutral, rev the engine and slam it into first!

just kidding, that probably would blow the engine in your poor car. hold down the brake and manually put it into first gear with the gear shift. thats what its for.

Your autobox is on the way out but they can be serviced. check the oil level and if the oil is really burnt l would start pricing up another box.
