How come there are lots of 2008 used (almost brand new) BMW 3 series on used car website? l mean even BMW 5 Series too. Are there any problems with BMW 3 series? are BMW is initial quality bad?

BMW dealers go around picking up the best of the best used cars they can find and paying big money for them. You wo not see cars like that on some Joe Blow used car dealer lot. You will see many cars like that at BMW dealers, but they're very hard to find at any other kind of dealership. BMW dealers sell them new than buy them back or get them as trade-in vehicles. They are not bad cars, they are just mostly sold and traded differently.

No, there is not anything wrong with 3 series models. Some dealerships will use brand new BMW temporary replacement vehicles for customers who r getting their car worked on or check ups. Yesterday the dealership gave me a brand new 3 series BMW for a days while they put tint on my new 335i. The reason 08 models r used & for sale is because the dealership commonly updates their loaner cars for newer ones. They then sell the loaner models at a considerable discount since they were used as loaners for customers BMW bad quality? l do not think so. My family has been customers of BMW of Austin for many years & l recommend getting a bmw.

Initial quality is just that the trim & stuff fits well & it held on well not much more.. l have not seen a lot of 3 series at the dealerships but l would not be surprised if there is a lot of problems with them. l would bet the farm that if there r serious design issues big company is that lease many many of these cars have brought them back for a refund.
This scenario actually happened with the 2002 7 series. BMW had so many returned 7 series that they had to rent extra lots to hold them all.. Eventually the Microsoft software was revamped by non Microsoft people & then sold back to the public as new in some cases..

there was a problem with the 3 series especially the 335i with that cause a fuel pump failure.

many 3 series were affected & many people when to the dealer many times for the same problem.

some people people want it to lemon the car however what BMW do is that they buy back ur car at about the same price that u buy it originally ( when u filled a lemon it damage the company reputation).

the problem is solve mow but it originally affects most if not all BMW with the new twin turbo engine 335i 535i

that is why they r so many used on sale.

this cars will not be lemons they will show on the VIN that BMW north america buy them.

they have good deals

BMW is probably one of the only car manufacture that have a good short term lease residual. BMW will push a 12 - 24 month lease rather then a 36-48 month lease because the residual is so high on their cars. This might be a good reason why your seeing 08 and 07 used BMW's.
