Compare BMW 3 series models

Ok for the last 20 years all 3 series BMWs are JUNK..

damn, did not know my car was junk! comfy junk though!

The first 3 series was a 2-door model only - E21

E30 then began to be sold as a 4 door and even a convertible 3 series.

E36 carried the variable valve timing system (released a hatchback as well).

E46 carried the xDrive system (5/6 speed auto began).

E90s are the present 3-series.

As of 2009 there will be four to choose from. The 328i, 335i, & the 335d. There is also an M3. The 'M' models tend to be in a class of their own & r not really part of the regular line up.

The 328 has a 3.0 liter engine & 230 HP.

The 335 has the same engine, but a turbo takes it to 300 HP.

The 335d is a diesel engine, new to the US this year. It has 265HP.

The M3 is the top of the line sports model & is much more expensive. It has a V8 & 414 HP. Available in a coupe, sedan or convertible.

The 328i & 335i r available as four door sedans, two door coupes, or convertibles. Not sure about the diesel.

Anyone who claims that the 3 series is junk is being ridiculous. The 3 series is the bench mark by which all compact sports sedans r judged. They r outstanding cars, well reviewed in any publication.
